West End Experience are returning to Norwich 2020 to give YOU the ultimate musical theatre experience.
This course will run from Tuesday 14th April - Saturday 18th April, when we will be holding a showcase for family and friends.
Every day, we'll study songs, dance routines and scenes from different West End shows, with an actual cast member from that show, as well as creating films to be shown on the big screen in the end concert.
We only work with the very best professional actors, actresses, choreographers, dance captains, directors and musical directors, to make sure you get a once in a lifetime experience you will NEVER forget.
At the end of the five day course, you will perform in a full two hour concert, WITH the stars, to an audience of around four hundred people, giving you a real taste of what it's like to be a West End pro.
The costs (payable in instalments) to attend the workshop for ages 7-17 are as follows:
- £225 Earlybird discount - please note this must be booked by the end of February.
- £250 after the February Earlybird discount has ended.
Weenies (4-6) runs from 10.00am - 2.00pm Wednesday-Friday, and 1.00pm until the end of the showcase on the Saturday.
This really is week to be remembered forever!
What is West End Experience?
Since 2007, West End Experience have been holding courses around the UK, giving children and adults the opportunity to train and perform with professional choreographers, musical directors, dance captains, actors and actresses from either London's' West End or Broadway. Each day of the five day course, a different show is studied, under the tuition of a professional from that show...to teach you the EXACT same choreography, scenes and harmonies that are being performed on the countries most famous stages. Alongside the visiting tutor, resident West End professionals stay for the full five days, to ensure that once the 'daily mentor' has returned to their show, you can carry on rehearsing and practicing ready to perform what you've learnt in the final showcase on the Friday night, where you will perform on stage WITH the professionals, in front of an audience of hundreds. This April, we are lucky enough to have stars from shows such as Grease, We Will Rock You and Joseph, as well as one of the actors from the Les Mis movie and a soap star who's also appeared in Doctor Who!
Do I need to have experience?
No! All we ask for is a willingness to learn and have fun! You will be treated like professional actors and actresses, but you do not need to have stage experience. You'll be amazed what you can learn in five days!
What age do I need to be?
West End Experience is designed for students aged between 7 and 17 for the daytime course, which runs from 9.00am to 5.00pm on the Tuesday to the Friday, and from 10.00am until the curtain comes down on the Saturday.
Weenies (4-6) runs from 10.00am - 2.00pm Wednesday - Friday, and 12.00pm until the end of the showcase on the Saturday.
After four days of intensive musical theatre training from some of the West Ends finest professionals, local youngsters will take to the stage alongside the West End pro's to perform in a full two hour concert. With musical numbers from a variety of West End favourites, it's a concert not to be missed.
