Norwich Mental Health Conference - Shedding the light on loneliness and isolation
Hear the lived experience of people who have mental health issues, their inspiring stories and the opportunity to take part in activities and discussions is aimed at educating people on mental health, reducing stigma, and bringing people together.
Speakers will be:
Katherine Gilmartin - will talk to us about her experiences with mental health, how it takes a village, and how she uses art to support herself and others. ImprudentCollective is one of her exciting ventures.
Sue Willgoss – Launched Liftloudfordanny raising thousands of pounds and awareness of suicide, mental health, and autism.
Ivan Humble - having being radicalised into the EDL, Ivan now tours the UK speaking on loneliness and isolation and working with schools and the home office to support others.
Josh Connolly - is a nationally renowned speaker and campaigner, working alongside Callum Best and NACOA he has helped to raise the issue of alcohol and alcoholism in society and his own story.
Dan Biddle – the ‘most profoundly injured survivor’ of the 7/7 London terror attacks in 2005 Dan now speaks about his journey and especially his PTSD which has brought him closer to death than a suicide bomber. He also shares the amazing love story of he and his wife Gem.
Tod Sullivan - will host and support the event as well as sharing his Winston Churchill Memorial Trust UK learning having studied mental health approaches across the US. Also his experiences with suicide and anxiety.
