Multiple award winning ex-offender, Darryl Laycock will be using his experience and to raise awareness and about the dangers of crime and influence young people to make positive life choices.
Darryl was once one of the most feared gang-members in the UK having been embroiled in a gang wars in Manchester.
It is widely known that Darryl was one of the instigators that brought the name "Gunchester" to Manchester in the early 90's. After being sentenced to almost 18 years in jail, shot on 3 occasions receiving over 20 bullets wounds and stabbed 7 times.
Darryl became fully rehabilitated in 2011 & started to use his negative past life experiences to empower positive influence on all our youth. Darryl has worked with over 180000 young people to date, advised HRH Prince Charles on Knife Crime & Youth Violence, played a leading role in the BAFTA winning Gun No6 & most recently winning a national diversity award positive role model 2019.
Darryl works tirelessly in order to reduce violent crime and show our youth a brighter future. This event is for young people, parents, carer's, youth workers and teachers.
