Gym Supervisor (Fixed Contract)

We are looking for a proactive individual to oversea our gymworking closely with the existing youth team, funders (including the Police and YMCA), private members and corporate clients, delivering an excellent experience for all.  The ideal person needs to be approachable, with a great work ethic, excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service and skilled in at least one gym discipline – boxing, MMA or personal training.

Duty Manager (casual contract)

We are looking for a highly organised individual with the skills and experience, energy and commitment to lead and manage client relationships.  The successful candidate needs to be approachable with a great teamwork ethic, have excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, a head for figures and experience in managing diverse events, venue operations and cash handling.

Venue Assistant (casual contract)

The successful candidate will work on a shift basis including evenings and weekends and will need to be flexible to reflect the requirements of the Trust. The role is ideal for someone interested in a career in event management, venue maintenance and housekeeping and provides an opportunity to build up your experience. The prime responsibility will be to prepare for, work on and turnaround a busy schedule of conferences, gigs, meetings and banqueting events as part of an operations team with a reputation for outstanding attention to detail and delivering quality service to clients. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to work well with and around a variety of people, whilst working on your own initiative within a varied role.

Cleaner (casual contract)

OPEN is a multi-purpose venue with a constant turnaround of events, gigs and conferences.  It is vital that the public facing areas are clean at all times and we need an additional, experienced operative to help us meet our demanding rota and provide cover for annual leave. The working hours will be flexible to meet the needs of the Trust and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate an eye for hygiene and cleanliness.

Bar & Waiting Staff

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and lively people to join our Bar & Waiting staff. The ideal candidates will be hard working and able to take the initiative in busy settings, but also able to have fun and enjoy working with us. You will be able to adapt to the diverse range of events we have at OPEN: this means you will work equally happily at a relaxed, dining environment through to a full-capacity, sell-out live music event. You will also fit well within the existing bar & waiting team, and be able to work with colleagues from all areas of OPEN.

Essential qualities:

  • Previous bar and/or waiting experience
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent customer service

Desirable qualities:

  • Qualifications in bar, hospitality, or related industries
  • Knowledge of our existing range of products
  • Good communication skills
