Following the governments advice to the public which was issued on March 16th, 2020 it is with regret that we at OPEN Youth Trust are postponing all events and have closed the venue until the end of May as a minimum to safeguard our community and staff.
This is of course a disappointing time for all our staff, guests to our venue and the young people that our organisation supports but we feel that this is the right decision to protect us all for the future.
As we are sure you will appreciate, we are experiencing a high volume of enquiries with regards to the events and activities we have had to cancel or postpone, therefore we ask for your patience while we work through these enquiries along with the difficult times that face us all. We will be processing any credit notes or refunds due as soon as we are able to and will be contacting all event organisers and ticket holders directly.
In this situation we are able to postpone or cancel events to protect the public, however the challenges facing the young people we support every day remain. They cannot be postponed or cancelled no matter how serious this gets, and they still need the support of the community.
We would ask that even if it is just a fraction of the ticket price, that our customers will take this opportunity to help support our charity, other local causes and the community at large through donation.
Please note: Our Box Office is now closed to face to face and telephone calls, however you can still email us at email@example.com for ticketing enquiries or firstname.lastname@example.org for all other enquires.
COVID-19 Help & Advice for Young People & Parents
Nelsons Journey You can find resources on our website www.nelsonsjourney.org.uk This website provides guidance on how to provide bereavement support for a child(ren). You can also contact their Support Line on 01603 431788 to leave a message and their duty support worker will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively you can email at email@example.com
We also recommend that children and young people (aged over 13 years or younger with parental supervision) download their smartphone app called Smiles & Tears. This offers interactive activities to help them remember the person who died.
