Travel back to the 60s and treat you and your family to the high-energy, feel good musical Hairspray this Easter at OPEN in Norwich.

Hairspray the Musical is the latest production from Echo Youth Theatre which had successes with A Little Princess and A Midsummer Night’s Dream last year.
With memorable songs such as ‘Good Morning Baltimore’ and ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’, Hairspray follows the story of Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger dream; to dance her way onto National TV and straight into the heart of teen idol Link Larkin. Tracy’s soon finds fame but can she use it to win equality – and Link’s heart?
A cast of 48 young people aged between 8 and 18-years-old will be performing in the musical on the stage of Open in Norwich from Thursday 18 April until Saturday 20 April.
Director Dan Rayner said: “We have got a group of extremely talented young people bringing together a story about equality which is as relevant today as it was in the sixties.
“Our production will be full of energy which will want to get you on your feet dancing, so why not let your hair down and join us for an Easter treat the whole family can enjoy.”
