Norfolk Wine School is delighted to announce that it has joined Norfolk’s leading Food and Drink network, Proudly Norfolk.
Norfolk Wine School hosts regular wine tastings, wine courses and food and wine evenings in Norwich and Norfolk. It also offers professional trade training courses WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) and BPET (Beer Professional Education Training).
Jeremy Dunn, Owner and Chief Wine Tutor, comments “It is part of the wine school’s strategy to showcase locally made wines and local produce including cheeses and charcuterie at our tastings. We are already working with local vineyards, wine suppliers, delicatessens and event venues so it seemed like the next logical step to join Proudly Norfolk to work more pro-actively alongside other local food and drink businesses.”
The wine school is also expanding its portfolio of drinks’ training & education courses to support the local drinks and hospitality sector and ensure there is a pool of locally based well-trained talent. The school has successfully tutored dozens of candidates from local pubs, bars, restaurants and vineyards through their WSET wine qualifications and plans to add WSET Spirits courses to its portfolio from Summer 2019.
Sarah Daniels, Board Member for Norfolk Food and Drink, comments: “We’re delighted to have Norfolk Wine School, Norfolk’s only provider of WSET courses, as a Proudly Norfolk Member and look forward to amazing collaborative pairings with other members!”
Norfolk Wine School is also pleased to announce a new partnership with Proudly Norfolk member and events venue OPEN Norwich which is now a major hub for its wine tastings and food and wine events.
John Gordon-Saker, CEO of OPEN, Norwich remarked: “We are delighted to be developing bespoke menus for Norfolk Wine School food and wine events held at OPEN using local suppliers. Every penny of profit from the venue’s conference and dining facilities funds our youth charity which enables us to help local disadvantaged young people”.
